Weekend Love

Oh my god, it was so gorgeous today (and still is!), so despite my incessant sniffles, I had to go for a run.  It wasn't the longest or greatest ever, but it was so nice just to breathe in fresh air.  Plus, there's something about the fall air that just makes my heart happy.  Caysee loved it too!

I made a huge to do list of things I need to get done today and while I have laboured away (pretty much all day long) I don't think I've stroked anything off of it other than "squats" and "run".  I still have a couple hours before I have to be anywhere, so I'll try and smoosh piano in since I really, really need the practice.  My teacher is probably like "you are the worst student I've ever had" every time I go in and haven't practiced.  Haha.  Then, Beertown tonight with one of my favourite people that I haven't seen in SO long!

Tomorrow = bridal show!  Favourite season in modeling world, hands down.  Despite the whole awesomeness of wearing wedding gowns and getting all dolled up, the girls I model with are usually the same ones every show and it's like being with my family.

Hope everyone is happy a super weekend!

Love for life,
M

Cleaning, Singing and Planking

Today was such a GOOD day!  I had a friend over this morning for a visit with the pooch and lunch, so I had to be up early to get some cleaning done.  What a sense of accomplishment to put dishes away, tidy up and vacuum the house before 10 am!  Revealing my age much by discussing the joys of a clean home?  Don't care!  The visit was great, lunch was AMAZING, and then I came home and practiced piano (mostly sang at the top of my lungs)...  I'm learning "Run to You" by Whitney Houston so when I would get to a part that I couldn't play quickly enough, I'd just sing it instead (sorry, neighbours).

After piano, I did some reading and work on the comp, worked on my squats, planked for a bit (um, not so good at it...  but working on it!) and then hit the road for a bike ride.  Sadly, I noticed my tires needed some air, but I went anyway.  Needless to say, I did not make it as far as I would have liked to... but I was still huffing and puffing and red in the face when I got home, so it was still a legit work out!

Now I'm off to focus some more time on Arbonne, perhaps watch a movie and then hit the sack!  Tomorrow I get to hang out with my brother and nephew at a friend's farm, go see The Wolverine with another friend, and then out to Jane Bond for some food with one of my dearest.  Should be another super day.

Have a great evening.
Much love,
M

La Musique

With the time I've had lately, I've been using it to practice piano almost every day and what a difference it makes!  I mean, duh, of course it makes a difference, but I've already gone through a level and a half in the past few weeks just because I've put my mind to it and worked hard.

This is inspiring to myself!  Now, if I can just make sure I stick at being healthy and running more often!

Love and dedication!

Day 1

I've started my training program for my half marathon that I'm running April 29th.  Two months to the date...  I've got a lot of work to do!  I was totally not feeling it tonight either.  I got home from work, watched Grey's and passed out for an hour and a bit (whoops), then headed to piano and the grocery store.  It seemed like I'd already made up my mind about not going, but as I drove home, I thought, "FORGET THIS!  It's day one!  What are you DOING?!" so I unpacked the groceries, got my gear on and hit the roads.  Thanks to those who shoveled...  which was few and far between.  Soaker centrale!  And worth every second!!

Love and inspiration!

Oh, My Arm

Played dodgeball tonight...  Out of 11 games, I played 10.  Safe to say my arm is dying (currently being iced) and I've jammed my thumb (for the nth time, cancelling piano tomorrow).

And it actually hurts to type (thanks, spacebar), so I'm off.

LOVE dodgeball.  For realsies!

Love and hope!

Zzz...

Unintentional napping.  I got home from work with intentions of studying, not sleeping.  I walked in the door and it hit me, so I headed up to bed for a 45 minute snooze.  Slept through my alarm.  Set it again to give myself a few minutes to wake up...  and it does not go off.  45 minutes + 2 hours.  No big deal!  I woke up ready to kick some piano ass and study the Spartan and Athenian women.  Love!

Love and knowledge!

Playing the Tourist

Matt and I headed to Kilbride Castle today to check it out and look around.  It was fun to find out that Matt also loves old houses...  I'm a super nerd for antiques thanks to my mom and genealogy.  I love the history of it!

Two victories today:  I rocked PIANO tonight!  I guess that's why they recommend practicing.

Love and music!

Two For One

I'm not sure how I forgot to post yesterday, but happiness is all around care of the no bake chocolate pieces of heaven I made (and have almost already all consumed).

Today, I have 2 words: Glee 3D. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Singing is the best thing on the planet and I will always always always wish that I'd tried to pursue a life of singing. For now, I'll deal with piano... and staring at Cory Monteith's beauty.

Love for life.
